The Trussell Trust runs the largest network of food banks in the UK, giving emergency food and support to people in crisis. Fourteen million people live below the poverty line and in the last year 1,9 million three-day emergency food supplies were distributed to people in crisis.
Rugby Foodbank is always very pleased to receive donations and at this time, whilst we are living with the threat of Covid 19, that is still true. However, we have given our entire stock of over £14,000 in value to Rugby Borough Council to ensure that there is no break in service. The Council is continuing with the collection and distribution of food during this time and it is not possible to guarantee that any monetary donation to the Foodbank will be used immediately. When the Foodbank resumes its normal voluntary operations it will need to replenish its stocks so your donation today will be a very helpful contribution to this effort.
Many thanks for your generosity to those in food poverty.
