Reverse Advent Calendar 2025

22nd October 2025

Foodbank has launched its Christmas Appeal for donations to help restock its shelves and ensure support is available for those facing food poverty in the local community over the Christmas season and into the new year.

This year, the foodbank has experienced periods where shelves have been running low, and it has been necessary to purchase food to meet ongoing needs. With Christmas approaching, Rugby Foodbank is aiming to build up strong stocks of essential items to provide support during the winter months and into early 2026.

The foodbank is asking individuals, workplaces, schools, and community groups to prioritise donating essential food and household items, which are crucial for creating balanced emergency food parcels. While treats are appreciated, the current focus is on restocking everyday staples.

Rugby Foodbank has created a 30-day Reverse Advent Calendar. Supporters are invited to collect one essential item each day during November, then donate the full collection to the foodbank at the start of December, in time for the Christmas distribution period.

Alternatively, supporters may choose to complete the calendar throughout December, adapting it to suit their own schedules and preferences. All donations are welcomed and appreciated.

Rugby Foodbank is grateful for the continued generosity of the local community. Every donation helps ensure that no one in Rugby has to face food poverty alone this Christmas.
